The Spanish winger scored one and assisted the other in the 2-0 win.
The Blues travelled to the Riverside on Tuesday evening looking to progress to the semi finals of the Capital One Cup for the first time since 1988.
They did just that, with goals from Deulofeu and Romelu Lukaku seeing them into the last four at the expense of the Championship club.
The Spaniard was arguably the star of the show in the game, with him once again providing the assist for Lukaku’s goal, and he says playing with the Belgian is easy for him.
"Playing with Romelu Lukaku is easy for me,” he told Sky Sports.
“I am so happy to reach the next round and want to keep going.”
"Against Bournemouth on Saturday it was disappointing because it was a game we should have won but this is a good moment and we nee to keep going for more."
Deulofeu’s relationship with Lukaku has been a bright light for the Blues this season, with both developing at a fast rate.
The Spaniard has provided assists for the vast majority of Lukaku’s goals this season, showing a level of creativity few would have predicted when he signed in the summer.
The Blues, and particularly manager Roberto Martinez, will be keen to maintain that relationship across the rest of the season.
If they can, there is no denying that the Toffees could be set for a big campaign with their two young stars leading the line.
