The summer signing has been talking about one of his Tottenham Hotspur teammates.
Tottenham Hotspur player Clinton N’Jie has been speaking to the club’s official website about his teammate Hugo Lloris, after the French international put in an impressive performance against Chelsea on Sunday.
The two sides drew 0-0 to extend Tottenham’s undefeated streak in the league to 13 matches and N’Jie – who came on for the last 15 minutes against the Blues – was particularly impressed by his skipper’s contribution.
Talking to tottenhamhotspur.com about Lloris’s second-half save to keep out Eden Hazard, N’Jie said, “It was a great save from Hugo. That’s why he’s one of the leaders in the team, because he’s always there to make those saves.
“I think it’s very important to have somebody like him who is a leader, a good captain and a great ‘keeper.”
Lloris is a key member of this Tottenham side and while the likes of Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane often take the plaudits the French international is just as vital at the opposite end of the field.
Next up for Spurs is a trip to The Hawthorns to take on West Bromwich Albion and if the North London club’s undefeated streak stretches into Christmas they could yet find themselves top of the pile.
