Arsenal 'Invincible' Gilberto Silva hails Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho

The Brazilian is in good form for Liverpool at present.

There is no doubting that Brazilian midfielder Gilberto Silva is one of the Premier League's lesser heralded stars of recent times.

However Arsenal fans are still fond of him and he still carries a torch for The Gunners.

However it is not just Arsenal players that Gilberto has his eyes on in the Premier League.

Gilberto has been talking to The Guardian this week and was heaping praise on a current Liverpool player and countryman.

The former Arsenal man, who was part of the famous 'Invincibles' team, was waxing lyrical about attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho today.

He said of the Liverpool playmaker:

"He is amazing. I have seen him play a few times for Liverpool and it’s nice to see he is delivering in English football.

"He cannot physically compete but he has a very quick mind. He gets the ball and passes and moves and they cannot catch him. In Brazil we have this kind of thing inside of us to take responsibility and he is doing that.”

Coutinho has certainly been a star for Liverpool since arriving in the Premier League from Inter Milan. He suffered with some injury problems last season and his form seemed to desert him but recently he has been back to his best.

The 23-year-old looks rejuvenated under Jurgen Klopp and has scored four goals in his last three games. He has also formed an excellent looking understanding with yet another Brazilian, Roberto Firmino, which looks like being a fruitful relationship going forward.
