Andy Hinchcliffe is adamant Derby County will win promotion this season.
They sit in third place, level on points with second placed Middlesbrough, and two behind leaders Brighton.
He said: "George Thorne has been important for them and Bradley Johnson has been fantastic since he came in. It's just about finding the combinations that work.
"If they carry on like this then they've got too much quality to fall short. I'll be amazed if they don't finish in the top two."
Since losing the East Midlands derby against rivals Nottingham Forest, the Rams have won two games in a row, with a highly impressive victory away against promotion rivals Hull City at the weekend.
Derby fans will be taking nothing for granted after last season's collapse, which saw them pegged as favourites for the automatic spots, only for a disastrous run of form, which left them missing out on even the play-offs.
Crucially the management has changed since last season, with Steve McClaren gone, and supporters will have to hope this team has a tougher resolve to get the job done.
