The Rams have been in excellent form since the start of the season, and they have established themselves as one of the leading contenders to be promoted this season.
However, Clement says that not one member of his squad is resting on their laurels, and they are all keen to push on.
“We are moving in the right direction but we feel there’s still room for improvement," he said.
“The players believe that as well which is obviously important and we are constantly working hard to try and be better in everything that we do.
“We do that in training, in the video room talking about our style of play and looking at the good and bad from our last game - we do that whether we win lose or draw.
“There are lessons to be learnt all the time and everyone knows that every day is an opportunity to improve and that pushes the players and staff to the limit.”
Derby took a while to get used to Clement’s methods, and they drew many of their early fixtures over the opening part of the campaign.
Since a defeat to Leeds United back in August, Derby have kicked on though, and they are now one of the form sides in the second-tier.
Derby have lost just one of their last 13 Championship matches, and they are currently just two points away from top of the table Brighton & Hove Albion.
Derby won their latest fixture away at high-flying Hull City, confirming their credentials to be in the top two.
Clement’s side are next in action at the weekend, when they take on another in-form side in Sheffield Wednesday.
