Liverpool and Tottenham are fighting to finish in the top four this season.
Speaking to Radio 5 Live, BBC football pundit Kevin Kilbane has predicted where Tottenham and Liverpool will finish in the Premier League this season, tipping the North London club for a top four place.
Kilbane said: “If they [Liverpool] can finish in the top four, it would be a great season for them. Top six is the level they are at. Tottenham are another one in that sort of category, but they have a great chance of finishing in the top four this season with how they are playing and how organised they are.”
Both Spurs and Liverpool are flying in domestic football right now, with Tottenham excelling under the guidance of Mauricio Pochettino, and the Reds starting to turn a corner since the appointment of Jurgen Klopp as head coach.
Spurs currently sit four points off top spot in the league, and just one point off fierce rivals Arsenal in fourth place.
Liverpool are then two points behind Tottenham, sitting in sixth, and Kilbane has predicted that this is how the Merseyside club will continue their season - fighting for the top six.
The former Everton man has admitted that a top four finish would be fantastic for Klopp and his team, but he believes they are currently at the level for a top six challenge rather than anything better.
For Spurs, Kilbane has a more positive prediction, suggesting that the North London club have proven with their style of play that they could finish in the top four this term.
There is certainly a place open in the top four with Chelsea’s struggles, and Spurs look to be the team ready to take advantage and once again get back into the Champions League.
