Jordan Ayew urges Aston Villa supporters to stick with them

Aston Villa have failed to win any of their last 13 Premier League matches.

Jordan Ayew has urged Aston Villa’s fans to keep the faith on the club’s official website.

Villa have started the season in dire form, and they have failed to win any of their last 13 Premier League matches - a run that stretches back to the opening day.

However, Ayew wants the Claret and Blues’ supporters to continue to back the team, as he is still confident that his side can avoid relegation.

"I understand the supporters,” Ayew said.

"This is a big club. My message to the fans is to continue supporting us because we need you.

"We really need you. I still believe that we can stay in the Premier League.

"They need to keep supporting us and I promise them things will change.

"Everyone is focussed, everyone is giving 100%."

Ayew only joined Villa during the summer transfer window, and he has been one of the new recruits that has struggled to settle in.

The 24-year-old has not shown his best form during his time in the Midlands, and he is under pressure to improve.

Villa are in dire need for some of their key men to step up, as their performances have been well short of the standard required so far.

Villa have lost their last two matches, and they are now seven points away from safety.

The Villans’ next match comes against Southampton on Saturday, in what looks to be another tough test for Remi Garde’s men.
