David Gold tweets his annoyance at West Ham United's defending

West Ham United have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last 10 matches.

West Ham United’s co-chairman David Gold has expressed his frustration with his side’s defending in recent weeks on social media site Twitter.

The Hammers have failed to shut an opposition side out for 10 matches, and they face a tough test against Manchester United at the weekend.

Gold feels that there will be no better place for the Hammers to show their defensive class than Old Trafford though.

West Ham have proven that they have the capabilities to keep clean-sheets against some of the Premier League’s most dangerous teams this season.

The Hammers have already shut-out Arsenal and Liverpool, but their defending of late has been their downfall.

The Hammers have been guilty of giving away cheap goals, and they are now winless in their last four matches.

Slaven Bilic’s side’s dip in form has seen them drop down to eighth place in the Premier League table, but they will be eager to get back on track by upsetting United on Saturday.

West Ham have conceded 21 times in their first 14 matches so far, leaving them with the joint-worst defensive record of any side in the top-half of the Premier League.
