The West Bromwich Albion skipper has had his say on two of his teammates.
The pair now appear to be the Baggies’ first-choice pairing with fellow forward Saido Berahino having to make do with a place on the bench for the recent match against West Ham United.
Lambert came on at half-time in that encounter and his deflected strike ultimately gave West Brom a share of the spoils, and Fletcher for one is clearly impressed with how he is playing alongside fellow summer signing Rondon.
“I thought they played off each other fantastically,” Fletcher told the Mirror. “Salomon is looking to get on the shoulder and he knows that if Rickie gets time he will pick him out with a pass.”
For now Berahino remains very much an option for West Brom, but if the England under-21 international does ultimately leave The Hawthorns it seems manager Tony Pulis has brought in the players to ensure his absence will not be too much of a blow.
Rondon is getting better and better while Lambert will feel he has to make up for lost time following his disappointing stint at Liverpool last season.
