The Liverpool icon has heaped praise on the skipper after his return from injury.
Henderson has been a trusted performer at Anfield, which has built his reputation up until the point he was named club captain.
But Aldridge is surprised the 'excellent' midfielder was able to make such a difference at the weekend due to how long he has been out injured.
Aldridge told Sky Sports News: "Jordan came on and I thought he was excellent. When you consider he has not played for two months, only trained, he made a difference."
Henderson's performance will no doubt come as a big boost to Liverpool fans. Boss Jurgen Klopp has so far been working very well with a limited squad.
But should Liverpool's captain and hugely energetic midfielder return to the fold on a regular basis, just imagine what else Klopp can achieve with the Reds.
Liverpool travel to Newcastle United in their next Premier League clash, although a Capital One Cup quarter-final against Southampton awaits the Anfield outfit before that. Can Klopp, Henderson and co inspire Liverpool to their first trophy in years?
Whatever the result against the Saints, though, Liverpool fans will no doubt fancy their side's chances against Newcastle.
