Everton take on Middlesbrough in the Capital One Cup quarter-final tomorrow.
The Toffees are preparing to face the Championship promotion chasers in the Capital One Cup quarter-final.
And while Martinez may not have quite finalised his team selection for the contest, Robles is set to start in the tie – after the Spaniard put in a wonderful performance against Norwich City in the last round of the competition.
Everton squeezed past Norwich in penalties in their latest League Cup outing, with Robles pulling off a number wonderful saves during the match.
Robles’ performance in the match actually led to calls for him to take over from Tim Howard as Everton’s first choice stopper, but the American has kept his place so far.
Howard has come under pressure this season, as he has put in a few error-prone performances over the course of the campaign.
Althoguh Howard has improved in recent weeks, Robles will hope to put in another excellent display – to increase the clamour for him to be given a chance.
Robles moved to Everton back in 2013, but he has only made 20 appearances for them so far.
