Moreno, Sturridge and Henderson react to Liverpool's 1-0 win against Swansea

Liverpool overcame Swansea City 1-0 on Sunday.

Liverpool continued their impressive form under new manager Jurgen Klopp as they defeated Swansea City 1-0 at Anfield on Sunday.

The win was secured by a James Milner penalty after Jordon Ibe’s cross had been handled in the box and that strike was enough to give the hosts all three points.

With most of the sides at the top of the Premier League table dropping points at the weekend, Liverpool’s win took them up to sixth, just four points outside the top four after 14 matches.

Such is the competitive nature of the league this season that Liverpool can no longer be discounted from securing a Champions League place and potentially even challenging for the title if those above them continue to falter.

After the match with Swansea some of Liverpool’s players took to Twitter to have their say, including defender Alberto Moreno and striker Daniel Sturridge.

The England international came off the bench in the second half to make his first appearance since his latest injury setback and after the game he wrote, “Nice to be back and involved in the three points.”

Moreno also had his say, tweeting: “Great victory today. Come on Liverpool. We are red,” while Jordan Henderson was also happy to be back following his own injury layoff.

Next up for Liverpool is an away game against Southampton followed by a trip to St James’ Park to take on Newcastle United.
