Manchester United's Juan Mata praises West Ham

Juan Mata is impressed with West Ham ahead of their Manchester United next weekend.

Manchester United attacker Juan Mata says he is wary of facing West Ham this weekend.

The Spaniard played all 90 minutes as United drew 1-1 with in form Leicester City on Saturday, and Mata knows the Red Devils are in for another tough match at Old Trafford against the Hammers.

Speaking to United's official club website Mata said: "The next game - therefore the most important one right now - is on Saturday against West Ham.

"They have had a good start this season and have won more games away than at home. However, as I said, we don't like draws and we want to go back to the victories.

"They have a very good manager and some of their players are very talented, but our aim is to get the three points and we have the whole week to work well on this game."

West Ham have beaten Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester City away from home this season - but were well beaten on their last game on the road by Tottenham Hotspur.

In their favour is the fact United have a crucial Champions League game against Wolfsburg to play days later, but Mata s insistent they will be entirely focused on the Hammers.

West Ham showed last season at Old Trafford that they will be no pushovers, narrowly losing 2-1 in a game in which Paddy McNair made his debut for the home side. The scorer of the winning goal that day, Robin van Persie, is though no longer at the club.
