Lille attacker Sofiane Boufal has admitted his style gets people's backs up, but has no intention of changing.
Speaking to Moroccan outlet Libe, he said his individualist style can agitate supporters, teammates and opposition.
He said: "I know it irritates everyone. This is jealousy. In football, there are many.
"I have a game that annoys, taking a lot of shots. It can annoy some and displease others. It may suggest that I have a big head, but if you ask those around me, they will say that this is not the case. It's always been my game."
Boufal has recently been linked with a move to the Premier League.
France Football reported last week that Liverpool are keen to sign the 22-year-old, while Mercato365 reported that Tottenham Hotspur are keen on him, even having had a bid knocked back for him on transfer deadline day.
Lille are struggling in Ligue 1 this season, and have recently changed their manager.
When results are not good, Boufal's style will grate on supporters, but if he were to join a team fighting for a spot at the top of the Premier League like Liverpool or Tottenham - both fighting for a Champions League spot - it could be a different story.
Boufal added that he has modelled his game on Ronaldinho and Eden Hazard, and if either interested side make a move for him in the transfer window, then it could be a decisive signing in the race for the top four.
