West Ham United and West Bromwich Albion played out a 1-1 draw at the weekend.
West Ham United drew 1-1 with West Bromwich Albion on Sunday and while it was not the victory the Hammers will have been hoping for they at least got a point on the board a week on from their heavy defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.
Mauro Zarate opened the scoring for West Ham but an own-goal from Winston Reid in the second half ensured West Brom headed back to The Hawthorns with a share of the points.
The result means West Ham are currently eighth in the Premier League table while West Brom are 13th but there is still a huge amount of football to be played.
After the game, West Ham defender Aaron Cresswell took to Twitter to have his say on the result, writing, “Frustrating not to get all three points but go again next week.”
That next match is against Manchester United at Old Trafford and the Hammers will have to be at their best to add to their impressive away scalps from earlier in the campaign.
West Ham goalkeeper Adrian also had his say on social media, writing the following message to his followers: “One more point but a shame not to get the three points after a great first half. Thank you for your support as always.”
Angelo Ogbonna echoed his teammates' sentiments after the summer signing returned to the starting line-up for the first time since September, suggesting West Ham did not get the rub of the green.
