Connor Wickham has started in Crystal Palace's last two matches.
Connor Wickham has told Crystal Palace’s official site that it is brilliant playing at Selhurst Park.
Wickham arrived at Palace from Sunderland during the summer transfer window, and he has had to endure a stop-start opening to his career at the London club.
The 22-year-old’s forward’s chances have been limited due to injury, but after starting in the Eagles’ last two matches he is becoming more familiar with his Palace teammates.
And Wickham says that he is loving playing in a team, which has so much pace down the wings.
"It is brilliant to play with the pace we have in our side with both the wingers in particular and we need to utilise that in games to our advantage and hopefully that will give us some good results,” he said.
Wickham has played two matches for Palace in the last week, and his performances have been rather contrasting.
The front-man struggled to make an impact against Sunderland, as Alan Pardew’s side slipped to a 1-0 defeat, but he was much improved at the weekend against Newcastle United.
Wickham was a constant threat against the Magpies and he helped Palace pick up an impressive 5-1 win in the contest.
Palace’s win against Newcastle has lifted them up to seventh place in the Premier League table, extending their impressive start to the season.
