Here is how Tottenham Hotspur’s under-21 side will line up this afternoon:
Tottenham U21 starting XI: Voss, Walker-Peters, Georgiou, Lesniak, Veljkovic, Amos, Townsend, Walkes, Coulthirst, Harrison, Sonupe
Tottenham U21 subs: McDermott, Miller, J. Pritchard, Goddard
Tottenham Hotspur’s under-21 side is full of exciting young talent and they have another chance to impress today when they take on their Middlesbrough counterparts.
This young Spurs side is building up a head of steam after beating Schalke 3-1 and Chelsea by the same score-line in their last two outings.
Prior to that they drew 1-1 with Liverpool and overcame Norwich City 3-2 and Leciester City 7-4, so expect plenty of goals in their latest encounter.
Among the Tottenham players on show are young striker Shayon Harrison and Serbian defender Milos Veljkovic, but there is a far more familiar face involved today in the form of winger Andros Townsend.
The England international has rarely featured for Tottenham's first-team this season, playing just 64 minutes in the league and racking up only seven appearances in all competitions.
But the 24-year-old has a chance to impress this afternoon and only time will tell if he takes that opportunity.
