West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has told the club’s official website the message he gave to his players at half time during Sunday afternoon’s Premier League clash against West Bromwich Albion at home.
The Hammers played out a 1-1 draw with West Brom at the Boleyn Ground in the Premier League.
Bilic’s side took the lead in the 17th minute through Mauro Zarate, but an own goal from Winston Reid in the 50th minute saw the Baggies pick up a point from the encounter in London.
“We were pleased at half-time with the way we played,” Bilic told West Ham’s official website. “I asked the players to continue like that and keep the momentum high. We started the second half well but then we conceded a goal and it affected us a lot.”
Over the course of the 90 minutes, hosts West Ham had 61% of the possession, took 17 shots of which six were on target, and earned five corners.
Visitors West Brom had just 39% of the possession, took seven shots of which three were on target, and earned two corners.
The Hammers are eighth in the Premier League table at the moment with 22 points from 14 matches.
The London outfit are five points behind Arsenal, who are fourth in the standings and occupy the final Champions League spot.
