West Ham manager Slaven Bilic fearful regarding Diafra Sakho injury

The West Ham United forward appears to have suffered an injury blow.

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has been speaking to reporters after his side drew 1-1 with West Bromwich Albion, with his comments later posted on the Hammersofficial Twitter account.

Bilic was particularly concerned by the injury suffered by striker Diafra Sakho that prompted him to be replaced in the 74th minute, and with Enner Valencia and Dimitri Payet already on the side-lines the last thing the West Ham boss needs is another goal-scorer unavailable.

Speaking after the draw, Bilic said, “Losing Sakho worries me more than the result. Before the scan it is difficult to diagnose but it looks a muscle injury.”

West Ham started the campaign in blistering form and they have already beaten Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool away from home this season, but they could now suffer with the injury problems seemingly getting worse and the matches coming thick and fast.

Sakho has played 14 matches for West Ham this season, scoring five goals in the process, but it remains to be seen if he will be forced to spend a spell out of the side after leaving the field early on Sunday.
