The debutant got the ball in the net, some how.

Celtic got back to winning ways in the Scottish Premiership today as they defeated Inverness Caledonian Thistle 3-1 at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium.

The game also saw a debut for Celtic striker Carlton Cole.

Celtic finally agreed a deal with former West Ham striker Cole last month after weeks of negotiations, with the free agent striker arriving on a two-year deal.

He has however had to wait for his first-team debut. Celtic have been building up his fitness but he came into the tie today for the final half hour and put in a good performance.

The Celtic fans clearly have already taken to the striker. They even have a song for the player. The travelling Bhoys support were singing along to the pop classic 'Gold' by Spandau Ballet in homage for their new striker:

He even scored, maybe. In perhaps one of the worst finishes ever seen.

Cole miscontrolled the ball, fell over and handled the ball into the tracking Inverness defender Daniel Devine - who put the ball into his own net.

The former West Ham player will undoubtedly be claiming it as his own but he might have to wait until he gets his official first Celtic goal.
