Crystal Palace hammered Newcastle United 5-1 at home in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s win against Newcastle United at home on Saturday afternoon.

Palace returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a 5-1 hammering of Newcastle at Selhurst Park in London.

Papiss Cisse put the visiting Magpies in the lead after just 10 minutes, but the Eagles staged a strong comeback and picked up all three points.

James McArthur and Yannick Bolasie scored twice each for the home team, while Wilfried Zaha found the target once.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Selhurst Park, Palace had 54% of the possession, took 19 shots of which eight were on target, and earned seven corners.

Parish was watching the match, and he was overjoyed with the final result and was impressed with the performance of McArthur.

McArthur himself was delighted with the three points, and so was Wayne Hennessey.
