Tottenham's Son Heung-min has been named AFC Asian International Player of the Year for 2015.
The Asian Football Confederation have confirmed on their official Twitter account that Tottenham ace Son Heung-min has been named AFC Asian International Player of the Year for 2015.
Son, 23, hit 17 goals for German side Bayer Leverkusen last season, becoming one of the most dangerous players in the Bundesliga - as well as becoming the face of South Korean football.
Those performances in Germany led to interest in his signature over the summer, and it was Tottenham Hotspur who managed to land his signature in August.
Already, Son has become a firm fan favourite at White Hart Lane, with three goals in 11 games certainly aiding his cause in North London.
With relentless work rate and clear quality on the ball, Son has a bright future ahead of him in the Premier League - and his displays have now been rewarded with the AFC Asian International Player of the Year award for 2015, as confirmed here by AFC's official Twitter account.
After the announcement, Tottenham's official Twitter account passed on their congratulations to the South Korean international, just hours after the 0-0 draw against Chelsea.
It looks like Son will continue to develop and improve under Mauricio Pochettino at Spurs, and further awards may not be too far away for the Tottenham forward.
