Photos: Kane's acrobatic effort, Vertonghen shows Hazard he means business and more as Spurs and Chelsea draw

Tottenham and Chelsea could not find the net this weekend.

Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea played out a 0-0 draw at White Hart Lane on Sunday – a result the Blues are likely to be more pleased with than the hosts.

Tottenham did stretch their undefeated record in the league to 13 matches but Mauricio Pochettino’s men will be disappointed not to have taken all three points and climbed into the top four as a result.

In-form striker Harry Kane tried a bicycle kick but failed to connect while Heung-Min Son had a great effort to score only to see his header saved by Chelsea stopper Asmir Begovic.

At the opposite end of the pitch Tottenham’s centre-back pairing Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen again looked solid, although the latter did pick up a yellow card along with both Spurs full-backs.

Late on, summer singing Clinton N’Jie was brought on to try to nick a late winner for Tottenham but he was unable to make a significant impact.

Next up for Tottenham is an away match against West Bromwich Albion while Chelsea host Bournemouth.
