The former Liverpool star believes that the Merseyside outfit will have too much for Swansea at Anfield in the Premier League clash.
“The Reds’ performance at the Etihad was absolutely sensational and whilst the style of counter-attacking football displayed on Saturday maybe better suited to games on their travels, Jurgen Klopp’s new-look Liverpool side continue to improve with every game under the German and they should get the better of the visiting Swans at Anfield,” Owen wrote on Betvictor.com.
Liverpool will head into the match against Swansea on the back of a 2-1 victory over Ligue 1 side Bordeaux at Anfield in the Europa League Group B.
Last weekend Jurgen Klopp’s side defeated Manchester City 4-1 away from home at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League.
The Reds are 10th in the league table with 20 points from 13 matches, just six points behind fourth-place Arsenal.
Meanwhile, Swansea find themselves 14th in the standings with just 14 points from 13 games.
The Swans are only four points above the bottom three, and there is a chance that they could get sucked into a relegation dogfight.
