Michael Owen believes Harry Kane’s mentality is his best attribute

The Tottenham forward is in fine goal scoring form once again this season.

Michael Owen has told BT Sport, broadcast from 10am Saturday 28th November, that Harry Kane’s mentality is the striker’s best attribute.

Kane initially struggled this season, with the goals not coming as easily as they did last season, where he hit 31 goals in all competitions.

The effort was not lacking though, and he has since improved dramatically, with him now scoring goals regularly and sitting third in the top scorers table.

A big strong point of his game is the range of goals he scores, with long rang strikes, tap ins and headers all a part of his repertoire.

Owen though, says that his mentality is the best attribute of his he has at his disposal.

“I don’t watch him and think he’s got any one thing that sets him apart from anyone else. He’s just very good at everything,” he told BT Sport.

“It’s his mentality that sets anything else apart, he’s just got an unnerving, unwavering belief in himself. When you’ve got that in built self-belief as a goalscorer, that sets you apart from anyone else.”

With the kind of form Kane is enjoying at present, and his side enjoying a fine run of form as well, there is no reason he cannot win the Golden Boot this season.

He does though, face firm competition, with Leicester’s Jamie Vardy currently leading the race on fourteen goals.

Everton’s Romelu Lukaku has also been in fine form, with ten goals to his name already, while Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud and Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero are sure to be among the frontrunners as well.
