The on loan Huddersfield United player gave a light-hearted response on Twitter.
Tyson Fury completed one of the biggest upsets in boxing history last night, as he completely outfoxed his opponent Wladimir Klitschko in Dusseldorf to win by a unanimous judges decision.
He made his feelings clear about the win, suggesting that another British heavyweight would beat Fury in the ring:
Joshua will punch the head off this guy though— Jamie Paterson (@jamiepaterson12) November 28, 2015
But upon posting his tweet he had some football fans on his case. One even suggested that he should stop focusing on the boxing and work harder on regaining a place in the Forest team:
@jamiepaterson12 concentrate on getting in the forest 1st team— Sean McDonald (@SeancovMcd) November 28, 2015
This received an excellent response from the Forest owned loanee. Rather than lose his cool he sarcastically knocked back the comment, which was clearly also just a bit of harmless fun:
Paterson clearly knows he needs to do more to impress Dougie Freedman at Forest, otherwise he would not be out on loan trying to play regular football and catch the eye.
If he can improve his game and come back stronger for Forest then everyone will be a winner.
