A select round-up of the latest news relating to Liverpool

According to a report from the Daily Star Sunday Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has not ruled out the possibility of signing some of his former Borussia Dortmund players, with winger Marco Reus and centre-back Mats Hummels allegedly top of the list.

Reus is said to be valued at £31.5million while Hummels may be bought for a fee in the region of £24.5million and in both cases that would be an absolute bargain.

Liverpool’s back-line in particular could do with strengthening and German international Hummels would be a wonderful addition, but tempting Dortmund into doing business would be easier said than done.

In other news, the Sunday Sun reports that Liverpool are considering a £20million move for Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland as Jurgen Klopp seeks a replacement for current number one Simon Mignolet.

Butland has been brilliant for Stoke this season and the 22-year-old widely regarded as one of the most promising young stoppers in England.
