The Belgian is currently in good form.
Everton played in what can only be described as a thriller yesterday against AFC Bournemouth. They drew the game 3-3 after a dramatic final minute of play. Everton had held a 2-0 lead before Bournemouth fought back dramatically. In the last minute it looked like Ross Barkley had given Everton all three points before Junior Stanislas netted an immediate and deserved equaliser.
The other goalscorers for Everton yesterday were Roberto Funes Mori and Romelu Lukaku - who has hit a purple patch.
The Belgian has scored in his last four games and it certainly looks like he is back to his best.
One man who has been impressed with his recent form is former Everton midfielder Kevin Kilbane. The Irishman, who played 121 games for Everton in four seasons, told the BBC yesterday on the subject of Lukaku:
"I think confidence has always been the issue with Romelu Lukaku.
"His touch and hold-up play is so improved - in previous seasons we kept seeing ball bouncing off him.
"But even with fluctuating confidence he still scored 20 goals last year. He's still only 22 years old!"
There is no doubt the former Chelsea star is living up to his potential at Everton. He can be frustrating and has his moments but you can bet the other big teams in the Premier League - including Chelsea - will wish they had the young forward in their ranks at the moment.
The fact he is still only 22-years-old - well that is simply frightening.
