Jamie Paterson sends message to Troy Deeney on Twitter

Nottingham Forest-owned Huddersfield Town attacker Jamie Paterson and Watford striker Troy Deeney both played for Walsall.

Nottingham Forest-owned Huddersfield Town attacker Jamie Paterson has taken to social networking site Twitter to congratulate Watford striker Troy Deeney.

Deeney was on target for Watford in their narrow 3-2 victory over Aston Villa away from home at Villa Park in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The 27-year-old scored the Hornets’ third and winning goal in the 85th minute of the encounter.

Paterson, who joined Huddersfield on a season-long loan deal from Forest in the summer transfer window, was happy for Deeney, with both players having started their respective careers at Walsall.

Deeney, who has been on the books of Watford since 2010, has scored four goals and created 18 chances in 14 Premier League appearances so far this season.

Watford are 11th in the league table at the moment with 19 points from 14 matches, as many as nine points above the relegation zone.
