Carlos Carvalhal sends message to Sheffield Wednesday fans on Twitter

Sheffield Wednesday failed to win against Blackburn Rovers in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

Sheffield Wednesday head coach Carlos Carvalhal has taken to social networking site Twitter to thank the fans for their support against Blackburn Rovers away from home on Saturday afternoon.

Wednesday played out a 2-2 draw with Blackburn at Ewood Park in the Championship.

Hope Akpan puts hosts Blackburn in the lead after just minutes when he headed home from Craig Conway's corner, but Modou Sougou restored parity for the visitors on 39 minutes.

Corry Evans put the home team back in the lead just before the half-time interval, but the Owls equalised six minutes from full time through Kieran Lee.

Wednesday head coach Carvalhal was delighted with the support of the fans and has sent them the following message on Twitter:

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Ewood Park, visitors Wednesday had 50% of the possession, took nine shots of which two were on target, and earned three corners.

The Owls are eighth in the Championship table at the moment with 28 points from 18 matches, level on points with sixth-place Birmingham City.
