The ex-Queens Park Rangers player was particularly impressed with two of the club's current stars against Leeds United this weekend.
Former Queens Park Rangers player Andy Sinton has taken to Twitter to praise the impact of Charlie Austin after he came off the bench to score the only goal of the game against Leeds United on Saturday.
Austin was a doubt for the match but he netted with his very first touch to condemn Leeds to their second straight defeat and ensure QPR’s caretaker manager Neil Warnock enjoyed his first win since taking on the role.
Austin’s goal took QPR up to 12th in the Championship table and they are now just five points outside the play-off places with plenty of football still to be played.
Writing on social media on Sunday morning, Sinton said, “Good win yesterday; enjoyed the second half performance especially. (Tjaronn) Chery and Charlie Austin particularly impressive.”
Sinton also expressed his pleasure at the performance of QPR winger Michael Petrasso who was making his first start for the club and did not look out of place.
Next up for QPR is a match against Reading on Thursday and if they win that one they could jump into the top 10.
