The Switzerland international has revealed that fellow professionals have enquired about moves to the Potteries.
Stoke City star Xherdan Shaqiri has stated that he is very happy at the Premier League club, telling The Telegraph that other good players have asked him to put a good word in with the Potters for them.
The Switzerland international moved to the Britannia Stadium over the summer, switching from Italian giants Inter Milan and he has also played for Bayern Munich in the past.
Shaqiri joins the likes of Bojan Krkic, Marco Arnautovic and Ibrahim Afellay in Mark Hughes’ squad, with the club starting to add more footballing quality to their contingent.
The gifted attacking midfielder, nicknamed the Alpine Messi, has stated that he is enjoying life in the Premier League and has stated that a host of other superstars could well follow him to Stoke in the future.
“Yes, every good player wants to come to the Premier League,” Shaqiri told The Telegraph.
“Also a lot of players, good players ask me ‘can you ask them (if they would be interested in signing me)?’ And I like this.”
Stoke have been markedly improved in recent weeks, beating the likes of Chelsea, and look like a side more than capable of a top-eight finish.
The Potters travel to take on Sunderland at the Stadium of Light later today, with another three points potentially moving the side up as high as sixth in the table.
