We cannot get enough of Jamie Vardy, and he can't get enough of November 28th.
If we've said it once, we've said it at least a million times... we love Jamie Vardy. And we reckon the entire footballing world – apart from Louis van Gaal – fell in love with him when he broke Ruud van Nistelrooy's consecutive goal scoring record.
It's kind of ironic that he did it against United, the club Van Nistelrooy set the record for well over a decade ago. It's also very ironic that Vardy broke the record on the 28th of November!
Why? Well, back in 2011, Vardy was playing for non-league side Fleetwood Town, and having a pretty great time of, not that we can remember it.
It turns out that Vards broke a record for his team on the 28th of November... illuminati confirmed, right?
Jamie Vardy's goal against Gateshead on Saturday saw him become the first Fleetwood player to score in four consecutive games this season— Robert Reid (@RobertReid64) November 28, 2011
Well, four years on, a transfer to Leicester City and we're guessing a whole load of WKD blue later, Vardy was breaking another record on... November 28th.
