Rangers fans react on Twitter after Rob Kiernan's performance during Ibrox victory

Rob Kiernan has been praised by Rangers fans today.

Rangers advanced in to the final of the Petrofac Training Cup today, having beaten St. Mirren 4-0 at Ibrox this afternoon.

The Gers were looking to silence some of their critics having been questioned after their 1-1 draw against Livingston last weekend, and they did just that with a thumping win.

Jason Holt gave Rangers the lead in the first half, before late goals from Kenny Miller, Martyn Waghorn and Dean Shiels added strikes to make it 4-0.

With a cup final to look forward to later this season, manager Mark Warburton will certainly be delighted, whilst the fans will also be eager to their side attempt to pick up some silverware this term.

After the game, supporters took to Twitter to react to the victory, and they were particularly complimentary towards defender Rob Kiernan.

The centre back, 24, joined Rangers from Wigan Athletic over the summer, and has become a fixture of the team alongside Danny Wilson in the heart of defence.

Today, fans believed that Kiernan should have been man of the match despite the award being handed to midfielder Andy Halliday, with many praising his performance.

Here are some of the reactions from Rangers fans after Kiernan's performance against St. Mirren at Ibrox this afternoon...
