Banker said to fall 5 floors to his death

A man is said to have fallen to his death at the City offices of Mizuho Bank near Cannon Street Thursday.

City AM reports that the 42-year fell from the fifth floor of Mizuho’s London base at Bracken House on Friday Street.

City of London police confirmed that emergency services were called to the spot at 4.05pm, and the man, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene by the London Ambulance Service.

A person based opposite the scene of the incident, who asked to remain anonymous, told the Evening Standard that the office in which it happened has an 'open atrium' inside.

A spokesperson for the bank said: 'We are deeply saddened and shocked at the loss of our Mizuho Bank colleague....Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time'.
