Man United suffer Jesse Lingard and Marcos Rojo injuries - report

The in-form duo will sit out the clash with Leicester City.

Manchester United’s injury crisis has heightened, with Jesse Lingard and Marcos Rojo both set to sit out of this weekend’s clash with Leicester City according to The Mirror.

The in-form pairing’s names have been added to Louis van Gaal’s unavailable contingent, with the Red Devils down to their bare bones due to injuries.

The loss of Rojo leaves the Old Trafford outfit short at the back, with the report suggesting that the Dutch manager may well opt to switch to three centre-halves without the Argentine’s availability to feature at left-back.

The ailment could also mean the return to first-team action of Paddy McNair, who is ready to deputise.

The Mirror also state that Lingard has picked up a knock in training and will have to sit out the clash against Claudio Ranieri’s table-toppers.

The young winger has forced his way into Van Gaal’s thinking in recent weeks and has been finally getting his chance to feature for the Red Devils’ first team.

However, it is believed that the former Derby County loanee will be forced to watch on from the sidelines also, leaving the manager with decisions to make.
