Crystal Palace defeated Newcastle United 5-1 at Selhurst Park in the Premier League today.

Ian Wright and Mark Bright have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to Crystal Palace’s comprehensive win against Newcastle United at home today.

Palace returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a 5-1 hammering of Newcastle at Selhurst Park in London.

Papiss Cisse put the visiting Magpies in the lead after just 10 minutes, but the Eagles staged a strong comeback and picked up all three points.

James McArthur and Yannick Bolasie scored twice each for the home team, while Wilfried Zaha found the target once.

Former Palace duo Wright and Bright were following the match, and both were delighted with the team’s performance and the final result.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Selhurst Park, Palace had 54% of the possession, took 19 shots of which eight were on target, and earned seven corners.
