Confirmed Sunderland v Stoke lineups: Yedlin starts, Watmore on the bench

Sunderland Stadium of Light

Here is how Sunderland and Stoke City will line up for this afternoon's game...

Sunderland will be looking to make it two wins in a week as they host Stoke City at the Stadium of Light this afternoon.

The Black Cats claimed a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace on Monday evening, and Sam Allardyce appears to have stuck with a 5-3-2 system once again.

With DeAndre Yedlin and Patrick van Aanholt as the wing backs, Sunderland should have plenty of speed out wide, whilst Sebastian Larsson, Yann M'Vila and Lee Cattermole continue in midfield.

Steven Fletcher and Jermain Defoe will once again start up front, whilst Allardyce has a host of attacking options on the bench in Adam Johnson, Duncan Watmore, Fabio Borini, Ola Toivonen and Jeremain Lens.

Meanwhile, Stoke are looking for a third straight win having beaten Chelsea and Southampton 1-0 in their previous two games.

With Jack Butland in goal and the return of defender Ryan Shawcross have helped Stoke keep three straight clean sheets.

The attacking midfield trio Marko Arnautovic, Xherdan Shaqiri and Bojan should be integral for Stoke, and they will sit behind lone striker Jonathan Walters this afternoon.

Manager Mark Hughes has options like Ibrahim Afellay, Peter Crouch and Mame Biram Diouf on the bench, should Stoke need to use them this afternoon.
