Stoke City's Peter Crouch falls for impossible fake quiz question

Crouch Quiz

Be honest, you fell for it as well, didn't you?

If you were on Twitter or Facebook trying to kill a few minutes while being bored at work yesterday, you may have come across a certain football quiz question.

It was a piece of trivia that even those boffins at Opta would have been bamboozled by. So what was so confusing about it and why could no one answer it?! Well, just have a look at the question, it really did have everyone scratching their heads and getting a bit mad at the world.

I'll admit it, I was sat trawling through squad lists of Tottenham, Queens Park Rangers and Aston Villa in the early 2000s.

It was literally driving the internet a bit mad and it even got Peter Crouch and Gary Neville involved, and scratching their heads as well.

With everyone suggesting David Beckham, Nicholas Anelka and my personal choice, Robert Prosinecki (I was well off..), the writers of the question decided to own up.

It turns out that the question was, in fact, a fake and was made to wind up a mate – and every football fan last night!

We all fell for it as well and even Crouch acknowledged that he had been well and truly done by the cheeky pranksters and their fake question.

Don't you all feel like right idiots now...? I do.
