Liverpool v Swansea predicted lineups and match preview

Liverpool will be looking to improve their home form and take advantage of a favourable run of fixtures while Swansea are in desperate need of a big result.

To be played on Sunday 29th November 2015 at 16:15. Venue: Anfield, Liverpool

Odds: Liverpool 1/2, Draw 15/4, Swansea 15/2

A big game for both sides, probably for different reasons. Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool side will be hoping to build on their run of form which has seen them win five out of their last six games in all competitions, but they will have taken a look at the fixture list up until the New Year and sensed an opportunity to state their top four credentials.

For Garry Monk's Swansea side, it has been a disappointing start to the season which sees them five points above the drop zone - winning only one of their last nine league games. As a result there have been reports that he is coming under pressure, but he has seen some fight from his side as recently as last weekend as they came from two goals down to secure a point against Bournemouth.

The Reds - who can end the weekend in sixth place if results go their way - are without Lucas Leiva who serves a suspension for his fifth yellow card of the season, meaning Joe Allen is likely to take his place, while Philippe Coutinho is expected to return from a slight hamstring injury he picked up last week against Manchester City.

For Monk, there seems to be no such injury or suspension worries - he will just be hoping his side can put on the performance that he knows his side is capable of, and they are capable of getting a good result against any side in the division. The main question for him will be surrounding his selection, having left out a few big names last weekend - do any of them get their place back for the trip to Merseyside?

A shock win for his side would take them up one place to 13th, should Watford lose to Aston Villa.
