Jack Hunt disappointed with his form for Sheffield Wednesday so far

Jack Hunt is currently on a season-long loan at Sheffield Wednesday from Crystal Palace.

Sheffield Wednesday full-back Jack Hunt has told the Sheffield Star that he has not showed his true ability at Hillsborough yet.

Hunt is currently on a season-long loan at Wednesday from Crystal Palace, and the right-back has featured regularly for Carlos Carvalhal’s side.

However, the 24-year-old has not been particularly pleased with his form – and he has expressed a desire to improve in the coming weeks.

“I don’t think I’ve played anywhere near my best football or fulfilled by potential yet,” Hunt said.

“I’m working hard to try and find a little more form.”

Despite Hunt’s rather harsh assessment of his own form, Wednesday supporters have still been impressed by his performances at right-back.

The former Huddersfield Town man has made 17 appearances so far this season, and seems to have fully established his place in the Owls’ starting line-up.

Wednesday have a number of different options they they could use on the right-hand side of their defence, but Hunt has fought off the competition so far.

Hunt will now be hoping to keep his place in the Wednesday team for the foreseeable future, with the Owls' next match coming against Paul Lambert’s Blackburn Rovers at the weekend.
