Mauricio Pochettino's side are keen to replicate last season's 5-3 victory.
Spurs head into this weekend’s London derby in fine form, having gone unbeaten since the opening day loss to Manchester United.
It has been a good season so far for Manuel Pochettino’s side, with them pushing hard to break into the top four.
In contrast, Chelsea have suffered a spectacular fall from grace, and currently find themselves 15th in the table.
Eriksen, though, says they are still a threat, and has highlighted what his side must do to secure a positive result in Sunday’s clash.
“They were in a good spot last time we played them at the Lane and we managed to beat them, so we’ll be looking for a similar result this time,” he told tottenhamhotspur.com.
“Chelsea have quality all over the pitch – we know that and there’s nothing new about it.”
We have to make sure we don’t make any mistakes, keep ourselves in the game for as long as possible, keep it tight and then assert our own game plan.”
The game against Chelsea will surely be an indicator of whether Tottenham can compete for a top four place this season.
While the Blues are not the side they were last season, a win against them would show Spurs mean business this term.
With a top four place very much up for grabs as well, a win against their rivals could provide a big boost for the side in their efforts to achieve that aim.
Short term, it would also help to maintain important momentum as the season heads into the crucial Christmas period.
