Analysis: How good was Tottenham's Christian Eriksen in the victory over Qarabag?

Tottenham Hotspur beat Qarabag FK 1-0 in the Europa League.

Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Christian Eriksen was in fine form on Thursday night as his side defeated Europa League opponents Qarabag FK 1-0 thanks to a solitary goal from striker Harry Kane.

The Denmark international has been in superb form this season, forming an excellent relationship with fellow attacking players Mousa Dembele, Erik Lamela and centre-forward Kane.

His immense fitness has allowed boss Mauricio Pochettino to consistently select him for European matches as well as Premier League encounters, despite there being just two full days rest in-between.

With qualification in sight, Spurs named a strong line-up for their trip to Azerbaijan and while Kane will receive the plaudits for being the match-winner, Eriksen was his side’s outstanding player.
