West Ham United will take on West Bromwich Albion at the Boleyn Ground in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

West Ham United midfielder Alex Song has written on the club’s official website that the fans will see a better game against West Bromwich Albion this weekend.

The Hammers failed to returned to winning ways last weekend, as they slumped to a 4-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur away from home at White Hart Lane.

Failure to win the London derby against Spurs means that West Ham have now gone three Premier League matches without a win.

Slaven Bilic’s side will take on West Brom at the Boleyn Ground in the league on Sunday afternoon.

Song, who joined Barcelona on a season-long loan deal from Spanish giants Barcelona in the summer transfer window, has assured the West Ham fans that the players will do all they can to pick up the three points.

“It is very important for us to show the fans that we have a good character and that we want to put things right after what happened last weekend,” the former Arsenal midfielder wrote on West Ham’s official website.

“At home we need to show the fans what they want to see. They expect us to play football and it will be a different game. We have to score more goals and we need to be the boss at home.

“The way we played against Spurs was not good and we want to get back playing how we performed at the start of the season when we had some great results – especially away from home. We want to show something different on Sunday.”

West Ham are sixth in the Premier League table at the moment with 21 points from 13 matches, five points behind fourth-place Arsenal.
