Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder Steven Gerrard said on the UEFA Europa League Tonight Live show on BT Sport Europe on Thursday evening how he felt after meeting Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
“He makes you feel good,” said Gerrard about Klopp. “He has got that enthusiasm, very infectious. He makes players feel special.
“I am an ex-player and I came out of his office feeling very good and very confident. That’s just what he brings.”
Gerrard left Liverpool at the end of the last season following the end of his contract and moved to Major League Soccer outfit LA Galaxy.
The former England international midfielder will start training with the Reds’ squad next week in order to keep himself fit for the upcoming 2016 MLS season.
Klopp was appointed the Liverpool manager last month following the dismissal of Brendan Rodgers, and he has done a pretty good job at Anfield so far.
The German always has a smile on his face and appears to be very friendly with the players.
The former Borussia Dortmund coach has got some good results as Liverpool boss, including a 4-1 victory over Manchester City away from home at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League last weekend.
