According to a report in the Chronicle, both Mike Williamson and Gael Bigirimana will be sold by Newcastle United in the January transfer window.
Williamson and Bigirimana are currently taking in loan spells at Wolverhampton Wanderers and Coventry City respectively, and Newcastle have no interest in welcoming them back to St. James’ Park.
Even though Williamson has impressed during his time at Wolves, the centre-back is considered to have no future on Tyneside by Steve McClaren.
Bigirimana, too, has been told that he can leave Newcastle – and the club will be actively looking to move both players on in the new year.
Another Newcastle player whose future is in doubt is Steven Taylor, as the centre back’s contract expires at the end of the season.
Taylor has been a loyal servant to Newcastle, but McClaren reportedly feels that his time at the club is up, and he will not be offered a new deal.
Newcastle are said to be keen on strengthening their squad in January, meaning that they are keen to make room for new additions in their squad.
