The Uruguayan is still waiting to make his Everton debut.
Everton are on a high at the moment after their recent results in the Premier League. They have won two of their last three games in the league, scoring 11 goals in the process, as Roberto Martinez has his side playing a full-throttle attacking style that is endearing him to the Evertonian faithful once again.
They took to training at Finch Farm today to push on with preparations for the game with AFC Bournemouth at the weekend.
Of course plenty of players were pushing for first-team recalls.
The likes of Tom Cleverley and Muhammed Besic are back in action now and are pushing toward a first-team recall. Kevin Mirallas was also in training and working hard to earn himself a start in the Everton team once again.
But for one man, he is trying his best to finally feature after arriving at the club in the summer.
Everton signed Leandro Rodriguez from Argentine side River Plate in the summer - beating off interest from other Premier League teams for his signature.
The 23-year-old Uruguayan looks like a real talent but at the moment he is having to wait for his first-team opportunities and was snapped in training with Mirallas today.
The closest he has come to a debut was a place on the bench for the League Cup game against Reading in September.
It is unlikely he will feature this weekend but if he can get the odd minute or two and impress than hopefully Everton have a star on their hands.
