West Ham will take on West Brom at the Boleyn Ground in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, and former Newcastle United striker Owen has backed the home team to pick up all three points.
“West Ham were put in their place by Tottenham last weekend, while West Brom rode their luck to a certain extent to secure a shock 2-1 home win over their North London rivals Arsenal 2-1,” the former England international wrote on Colossusbets.com.
“It’s a tricky one to call but the percentage play is probably to side with West Ham either 1-0 or 2-1, though it has to be pointed out that West Brom have won half of their six away matches.”
West Ham will head into the game on Sunday on the back of a 4-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.
The loss in the London derby saw the Hammers extend their winless run in the Premier League to three games.
Slaven Bilic’s side are sixth in the Premier League table at the moment with 21 points from 13 matches, just five points behind Arsenal, who are fourth and occupy the final Champions League place.
Meanwhile, West Brom currently find themselves 12th in the standings with 17 points from 13 matches.
The Baggies will head into Sunday’s encounter on the back of a 2-1 defeat to Arsenal at The Hawthorns in the Premier League.
