Leeds United signed Liam Bridcutt on loan from Sunderland.
Leeds United supporters are largely pleased after the club completed a deal to sign Liam Bridcutt on loan from Sunderland earlier today.
Bridcutt has moved to Elland Road until January, as announced on the club's official website, and he could go straight into Leeds’ squad to face Queens Park Rangers this weekend.
The deal has been a very protracted one, with Leeds chasing the combative midfielder for several weeks.
However, now it has been finalised, Whites supporters have reacted positively, and they are looking forward to seeing the 26-year-old in action.
Bridcutt has previously been a standout player at Championship level, during his time with Brighton & Hove Albion, but he has struggled to make an impact at the Stadium of Light.
Bridcutt has barely played this season, meaning it may take him some time to get back up to speed with Leeds.
Bridcutt is the first player Steve Evans has signed since becoming manager at Elland Road last month.
Here is the best reaction to Bridcutt’s transfer from Leeds supporters on social media site Twitter.
Buckley goes back in & Bridcutt comes in, I like that. Need competition, Murphy shouldn't be starting IMO.— Eric (@EMcLean1982) November 26, 2015

Unfortunately we didn't need Buckley, however Bridcutt is someone to start home games, him and Adeyemi, Cook sent forward slightly. #LUFC— Adam Walker (@AdamWalker14) November 26, 2015
A positive about Bridcutt though, he won back-to-back player of the season awards with Brighton for the 11-12 and 12-13 Championship seasons— Lambo (@LamzUser) November 26, 2015
