Kieran Tripper has found first-team appearances hard to come by since moving to Tottenham Hotspur during the summer transfer window.
Spurs take on their Azerbaijani opponents later today, and Trippier wants Mauricio Pochettino to select him for the fixture.
The right-back was brought to White Hart Lane from Burnley in the summer transfer window, but he has had limited opportunities so far.
Trippier is yet to make a Premier League start for Spurs, but he is aiming to keep his place in their Europa League team.
"I'll make sure I take every opportunity I get,'' Trippier said. "It's an experience for me to be playing in the Europa League and if we do get through then hopefully I will stay in the team for the Europa League.
"The lads are flying at the moment but if I keep training hard, and playing well in the Europa League, then hopefully time will tell.''
Trippier was brought in by Spurs to challenge Kyle Walker for the right-back spot in their starting line-up, but he has been unable to secure regular football so far.
Walker has raised his game, and the England international appears to be back to his best.
Trippier, meanwhile, has shown signs that he is still adapting to playing with his new teammates at Tottenham.
The 25-year-old hasn’t looked entirely secure in his Europa League appearances so far, and he will be looking to improve against Qarabag, if selected.
If Tottenham can beat Qarabag, they will confirm their qualification to the knockout stages of the competition.
